Whether you have no experience or just need a refresher, learn what you need to get started with machine sewing. Review your machine’s parts and functions, learn to make and change a bobbin, thread the machine, decipher stitch selections, adjust tension, and use the buttonhole function. After some practice and to boost your confidence, undertake a small project, such as a mini bag. Note: Bring your sewing machine in good working order, along with your machine’s instruction manual, if you have it.

Each class features a fun theme to spark your imagination—whether you’re shaping cute animals, delicious food, or unique figurines. Your creations will dry to a durable, hard finish in just 24 hours. With endless possibilities for tiny sculptures, have fun bringing your ideas to life with clay.

Let’s break out the ink and get started on planning and creating your very own graphic novel. Brainstorm a plot outline, cast of characters, and setting, then pick an art style and start storyboarding. Daily storytelling workshops will help you generate and develop your ideas. We’ll also look at the work of well-known authors for inspiration. End the week with the beginnings of a graphic novel, plus plans and materials to continue working on it on your own
