Advanced ParkourGet MovingBring your training to the next level with this class designed for more experienced parkour practitioners who have established a strong physical and technical foundation. Push yourself with parkour movements, techniques, and challenges that will increase your capabilities in a safe, supervised structure. Incorporate acrobatic elements that explore air awareness, inversion, and“flair” or style into movement. Delve further into the roots and spirit of parkour training and explore how overcoming challenges can build self-confidence and adaptability that can be applied outside of parkour. Boys (+) in MotionGet MovingBoys (+) in Motion is a non-competitive program that inspires active lifestyles, friendships, personal growth, and the confidence that comes from working toward and achieving goals. We meet twice a week for fun and energizing sessions that build physical and mental endurance and prepare us for an optional 5K race that we will run as a team on Saturday, Nov. 22 (further details upon registration). Please note: This program is inclusive of individuals identifying as transgender, non-binary, and gender nonconforming. Girls (+) in Motion programs will be offered in the spring. Please note: This is an outdoor class so please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. Climbing Club: On BelayGet MovingChallenge yourself on the brand-new climbing wall in the AHS gym. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, get the skills needed to safely belay on a ropes course, including how to fasten your climbing harness, tie a figure 8 knot, and participate in a team belay. High schoolers will also have the opportunity to learn how to solo belay using the PBUS (pull, brake, under, slide) method.Fall 2025

Hiking ClubGet MovingGet outdoors and enjoy the natural world. Hike local wilderness areas such as the Middlesex Fells Reservation, Walden Pond, and the Western Greenway, led by an experienced guide. Engage your curiosity, seek out adventure, build camaraderie, and increase your stamina on hikes of varying distances and challenges. Gain confidence as you learn how to read trail maps, use a compass, and employ other navigation techniques, as well as read the forest for clues about the non-human life around us. Our club will culminate in an optional full-day hike in the White Mountain National Forest. Transportation from Gibbs/OMS and all necessary equipment will be provided for both the club and the hike. Location: Pickups and dropoffs from Gibbs and Ottoson Schools Hike Locations: Initially, Middlesex Fells, with other local options available All necessary equipment (including hiking backpacks, microspikes, snowshoes and headlamps) will be provided for both the club and the hike. Led by an experienced guide, you’ll set out on nearby hiking adventures that will hyper-engage your senses. We’ll use headlamps, hiking poles, and our wits to conquer terrain that slowly becomes invisible as the sun sets. Pickup & Dropoff: Gibbs students should look for the van at 3:00 pm. It takes 15–20 minutes to get from Gibbs to Ottoson. Ottoson students pickup time will be between 3:15–3:20pm. Note: Sturdy walking shoes, layers including a sweater and a raincoat, water, and a snack are mandatory. We will supply backpacks, headlamps, and poles for those who want them.Fall 2025

Nathan's NinjasGet MovingPlease note: Students who are enrolled in Hardy's after school program (APTG), should enroll in Session 2 Known for its fun games and teamwork-oriented environment, Nathan’s Ninjas is a mix of traditional Kempo Karate with elements of sport karate, tumbling, and grappling.
