Hearing loss is a common affliction, affecting more than half of those over age 75, yet most of us know little about it. Learn all about the auditory system, the anatomy of the ear, common conditions related to hearing, and how hearing loss can affect your health. With the recent availability of over-the-counter hearing aids, get valuable information about the difference between those you can buy in a store or online and those that audiologists offer.
Derek Stiles, PhD is the Director of the Center for Communication Enhancement at Boston Children's Hospital.
