Classes for high school students
Use paper and photos as your canvas—and thread as your medium—to create one-of-a-kind images. Learn or review basic embroidery stitches, get inspiration from the work of artists who use this technique, and practice working with patterns and transferring images. We’ll explore the technique on paper and images from magazines in the first class. Bring your own photos (black and white is best) and postcards to work on at the second class. An assortment of embroidery thread, sample images, and a needle will be provided. New and returning students are welcome.
Please note: bring a pair of scissors suitable for cutting paper and a bag for transporting items.
