Classes for high school students
Peer into a world that is usually hidden from the naked eye—the information held in short, high frequency, ultraviolet wavelengths. Using blacklight flashlights and an assortment of UV reactive household objects, explore the physics of the unseen world through high speed and long exposure photography. We’ll learn several advanced photography techniques while engaging with experiments centered around the use of ultraviolet light. BYO camera and lens (details online), most other materials included.

Sophie Adams is a multidisciplinary artist working within the fluidity of art, technology, and science. Currently based out of Boston, Massachusetts, she specializes in painting, fiber arts, and photography. Her pieces reflect her curiosity, aiming to spark questions about the world we live in; scientifically, morally, and energetically. She has gained widespread acclaim across multiple disciplines and garnered support from renowned institutions including NASA and NSF. Her work can be found showcased nationwide.
