Classes for high school students
In this all-levels jewelry making workshop, beginning makers will fabricate a sterling silver ring, a sterling silver pendant with a bezel-set stone, and a set of bangle bracelets. Learn the basic fundamentals of metalsmithing, while incorporating personal design touches.
Students already enrolled in a metalsmithing / jewelry class at AHS, or who have some experience can further develop their skills while learning to use sterling silver. Learn to fabricate a tube bezel for a faceted stone to create a “Y” shank ring, and also a pair of earrings, create a chain link bracelet in sterling silver. Multiple soldering and finishing techniques will be covered, and individual design is encouraged. Materials are included.
