Classes for high school students
Want to share your discoveries with the rest of the world? Learn what makes a story newsworthy and how to get people interested. From science and history to video games and being a Swiftie, you will research a topic and produce a written story, infographic, and/or pictures and video. We will then package your stories into a newscast using green screen and professional cameras and maybe even print a full-color newsletter. This is your chance to write, design, and present your news and your views.
Brenda is a career long multi-media storyteller committed to guiding students in creative and effective forms of communication. She has taught journalism at the college level and has run the video and journalism programs at the Ottoson and Arlington High school, the latter being where she works as a library assistant.
