Classes for high school students
Construct bridges, buildings, boats, and more using building blocks, LEGOs, and some unusual materials, then see how well they stand up to wind, weight, water, or other forces. Figure out creative ways of cleaning up messes using your knowledge about how substances either mix or don’t, and apply these innovative solutions to real world problems—think oil spill cleanup.
Shamus Maunsell graduated with a BA from Westfield State University in 2019. He is an after school teacher at the Peirce Elementary School, and particularly enjoys activities that include film, theater, gym, and science. He looks forward to another successful year at SummerFun!
