Classes for high school students
We will form small chamber groups as well as play together as an orchestra to explore music from classical, pop, and jazz or create new compositions of our own. For musicians with more than two years of playing experience.
Please note: You must bring your own instrument, please let us know if that is a problem!
Michael Simon is a professional double bassist and music educator based in Boston, Massachusetts, and is currently a teaching artist for the Instrumental Music Program at Arlington Public Schools. Michael has performed with various symphonic, operatic and musical theater orchestras throughout the Greater Boston area, and has established himself as a versatile musician able to perform many different styles and genres. Beyond his career as a bassist, Michael is a passionate educator who enjoys helping students of all ages achieve their greatest potential as both young musicians and future leaders.
