Practice several techniques to give your cakes a professionally polished look using fondant, a type of icing used to sculpt and decorate cakes, cupcakes, and pastries. Learn to stretch and roll out pre-made fondant, smoothly cover a cake with it, then experiment with bows, roses and several border techniques. Please note: You will need a six- to eight-inch frosted cake on a cake circle and a cake carrier or box to transport your finished product. Simply frosted cakes can be purchased at grocery stores. Tuition includes a $25 supply fee for pre-made fondant, bags, tips, and handouts. For students 18+ only.
