Adult Enrichment / Fine Arts & Crafts -
Spring 2025
Delve deeply into the fundamentals of design through hands-on exercises that ignite your creativity. Design shapes all forms of art, and these activities will sharpen your skills by helping you think visually, solve problems, and refine your perception. From drawing and cut paper to collage and ink, we’ll use timeless techniques to build a strong foundation. Inspired by Josef Albers’ Foundation Course at the Bauhaus, this class is designed for students of all levels and aims to build confidence for a lifelong pursuit of art in any form.
Peter Lehman
Peter studied at Yale University School of Art graduating with an MFA in Graphic Design. He worked for decades in design as a graphic designer, information architect, interaction designer, finally as a user experience designer and design manager. And Peter taught design at UMass Dartmouth and Lesley University’s Art Institute as an adjunct faculty. It is the foundational course that Peter is most passionate to share.
