Classes for high school students
Create a stunning stained glass panel as you learn the timeless technique of Tiffany copper foiling. Develop your design ideas with quick sketches, then create a full-scale cartoon of your finished piece, which will be approximately 12x12 inches in size. You’ll bring your drawing to life by mixing and matching glass shapes, colors, and textures. Finish your creation by framing it with zinc came, adding patina, and waxing your stained glass masterpiece. No previous glass experience is necessary, but patience and the willingness to follow safety rules are required.
Michel L’Huillier studied fine arts and art history in Strasbourg, France, where he discovered a love for glass. Since 2004 he has taught stained glass and fusing in studios and schools in the Boston area.
