Classes for high school students
Bring stories to life with puppets. We’ll explore different types of puppets, including marionettes, sock puppets, finger puppets, and shadow puppets, and learn how each type is used to tell stories in theaters around the world. You’ll craft your own puppets, discovering how to make them move and come to life. Then, we’ll team up to script and rehearse a puppet show, combining your puppets and story ideas into a fun and creative performance.
Demi DiCarlo (she/her) is a graduate of Salem State University's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre performance. She is currently enrolled in Emerson College's Master's in Theatre Education program. During the school year, she teaches Spanish in Brackett's Immersion Program, and in the summer, she loves to teach theatre classes!
