Classes for high school students
Tango dancing, which originates from the vibrant streets of Argentina, is all about expression. Connect with the music, practice twists and turns, react to others on the dance floor, and add your own flair. Whether you choose to dance solo or with a friend, come try this joyful and creative dance style.
Laura Grandi is an Argentine tango dancer, scholar, and teacher. She studied choreography, composition, and dance theater at the National University Institute of Art (IUNA); trained with renowned tango masters in Buenos Aires; and was selected to study at the "Espacio Nacional Tango Argentino" run by Argentina's Ministry of Culture. More recently has been working in the dance department at Smith College. Her passion and love for dance have allowed Laura to share tango and its culture in cities, dance schools, and festivals across Latin America, North America, and Europe.
