Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes Quests
Become an adventurer in a fantasy world filled with magical beasts! Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is an interactive storytelling game where you create a character and test its might in an original tale. Practice a variety of skills including improvisation, critical thinking, math, and public speaking. We will use physical tools like books, battle maps, and figures as well as digital ones such as an online library of D&D books and a character creation app to keep the story flowing smoothly. Please note: Feel free to register for both morning and afternoon classes as we will create different storylines and characters. The AM & PM sessions will have a different interactive storyline, with different characters and plot. Students can sign up for one or both sessions but should be aware they will be making a different character for AM and PM. We discourage students from creating characters before the first day of class. Instructors and students will collaborate to determine what kind of story they will create and in the past, students who arrived with a character in hand have been disappointed if their character doesn't fit the group decision. -

Dungeons & Dragons: Land of Ithreach
Go on a Dungeons & Dragons adventure, set in the land of Ithreach. We’ll explore heroism and risk-taking while building teamwork, empathy, problem-solving, leadership, and storytelling skills. New D&D players will band together to investigate trouble with an introductory adventure, “The Giant’s Table,” which teaches the rules and rewards of this role-playing board game. Returning players will continue the story with “Caravan of Secrets,” as they embark on an exciting mission to uncover secrets, retrieve valuable objects, and rescue seven prisoners of a tribe of marauding goblins. Attend one or multiple sessions. Students who want a full day of D&D are welcome to take both. In this experience we will also paint miniature figures, draw character portraits, collaborate on world-building and storylines, design new magic items or monsters, and maybe even create and playtest an entire custom D&D encounter from scratch.
