Embroidery 101

Adult Enrichment / Fine Arts & Crafts -
Winter 2025

Learn the basics of embroidery. We’ll start with a practice swatch, where you’ll learn the different stitches you have to work with. Then, with guidance from your instructor and peers, you’ll have the opportunity to work on and finish a structured design that you can display in your home. Embroidery takes both time and patience. While it is restrictive in speed, it is also a forgiving medium, making it perfect for creatives who want to work with their hands but are afraid of making mistakes. Some materials provided. Open to new and returning students.

Note: The instructor will supply a materials starter kit for the first class for those who request it. At the end of the first class students will receive a short supply list for pursuing their individual projects.
