Classes for high school students
Learn a wide range of painting techniques using soft pastels. Projects include abstract compositions, still lifes, landscapes, and botanicals. Work from observation and photo references, as well as inspiration from the works of great masters. Explore ways to mix and blend colors, create texture, and transform your art with light and shade. All levels are welcome.

Hope Howard is an artist and printmaker in Waltham MA. In her personal art practice she uses a variety of printmaking methods including relief printmaking, silk screen, risograph, and cyanotype. As an educator, Hope is passionate about making art accessible for all and works with students to build confidence, curiosity, and playfulness in their art practice.
