Introduction to Watercolor Painting


Adult Enrichment / Fine Arts & Crafts -
Winter 2025

Explore the basics of the vibrant and expressive medium of watercolors. Through hands-on practice and guided instruction, you’ll learn essential techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and glazing, as well as how to mix colors, understand color theory, and choose the right materials. Gain the skills and confidence to create your own beautiful watercolor paintings and ignite your creativity. All levels are welcome, especially beginners.

Hope Howard

Hope Howard is an artist and printmaker in Waltham MA. In her personal art practice she uses a variety of printmaking methods including relief printmaking, silk screen, risograph, and cyanotype. As an educator, Hope is passionate about making art accessible for all and works with students to build confidence, curiosity, and playfulness in their art practice.
