Classes for high school students
Expand your weeknight dinner repertoire while loading up your plate with nutritious, delicious vegetables. Together, we’ll make several quick and hearty vegetarian main dishes, including cheesy skillet beans with kale, a nutty farro salad with butternut squash and arugula, and scampi-style mushroom and chickpea pasta. Learn how to pack plants with bold flavors, and you won’t miss the meat!
Claudia Catalano is a chef, writer, culinary educator, and food photographer who left a career in branding to earn a Master of Liberal Arts in Gastronomy from Boston University in 2016. She is a proud recipient of the Julia Child Teaching Assistant award in the Culinary Arts Program, where she worked with many award-winning chefs, including the legendary Jacques Pepin. Since changing careers, she has operated her own personal chef business called Wild Carrot. Her recipes, stories, and photographs have been featured regularly in The Boston Globe, Edible Boston, and more. A descendant of Sicilian immigrants on both sides of her family, her food often evokes the memories of her mother and grandmother.
