Please note date change for Huckins Farm
Spend time outdoors and join one or both of these easy-to-moderate guided hikes to locations you might not have visited before. As we explore these extraordinary sites, we’ll take time to gaze at the natural formations we encounter and hear stories of historical significance along the way.
Chamberlin Woods, Concord: We’ll cross several small brooks and walk along the edge of several vernal ponds in the Chamberlin Woods, which consists of 59 tranquil acres of land, mostly wooded, on the east side of Lowell Road.
Huckins Farm, Bedford: The Huckins Farm stretches along the Concord River into quiet horse farms and tranquil homes, along with a former missile silo site and a Harvard animal studies facility. We’ll traverse the area along the river and walk close to ancient forests from the turn of the last century.
Gregory Leschishin was born in the city where Rock and Roll was discovered: Cleveland! Besides being a chart fanatic, Gregory was a disc jockey before he was determined to work in Hollywood. For close to five years, he was one of the musicologists who actually determined the biggest hits that the United States listened to and purchased!
