Beginning makers will fabricate a textured sterling silver band ring and a sterling silver pendant with a bezel-set stone. Students with prior experience in metalsmithing/jewelry can further develop their skills with sterling silver while fabricating earrings, and making a chain link bracelet. Multiple soldering and finishing techniques will be covered, and individual design is encouraged. Materials included. Fabricate a sterling silver ring, a sterling silver pendant with a bezel-set stone, and a set of bangle bracelets in this beginner-level jewelry-making workshop. Learn the basic fundamentals of metalsmithing while incorporating personal design touches. All materials will be provided, including sterling silver, copper, bronze, stones, solder, saw blades, and more. To complete all projects, you must attend every class.

Create a chain link design for a sterling silver bracelet or necklace in this workshop for beginning and intermediate students. Learn to further develop your fabrication skills, including measurement, sawing, filing, forming, texturing, soldering, and tumbler finishing.

Explore your creative vision in this dynamic, open studio-style class for intermediate and advanced students. With one-on-one personalized guidance, you’ll navigate from an idea to project completion, advancing your skills along the way. The instructor will help you determine which metals and stones to purchase before the first class. Prerequisites: Students enrolled in this class should have completed three beginner-level classes in metalsmithing technique and/or possess basic skills such as soldering, sawing, flex shaft use, sanding/polishing, and be able to work safely with basic shop tools and equipment. You must also be able to work independently between instructor consultations.
