The Beauty of Linocut

Spring 2025

Relief printing is known for its beauty and versatility as a medium, from elaborate woodblock prints to deceptively simple styrofoam prints. Explore relief printing techniques using linoleum or rubber blocks, as well as more unconventional materials. We will build our skills, finishing with a multi-color reduction print. Class time consists of presentations, technique demonstrations, and ample time to work and share feedback. Ideal for beginners and more experienced artists looking to broaden their scope.

Hope Howard

Hope Howard is an artist and printmaker in Waltham MA. In her personal art practice she uses a variety of printmaking methods including relief printmaking, silk screen, risograph, and cyanotype. As an educator, Hope is passionate about making art accessible for all and works with students to build confidence, curiosity, and playfulness in their art practice.
