Classes for high school students
We’ll explore the exciting world of Latin dance, including salsa, merengue, bachata, zamba, tango, and more. Learn classic moves as you connect with the music, practice twists and turns, and dance with friends. You’ll discover ways to express yourself and let your creativity shine. We’ll pick our favorite styles and practice them for a final show.
Laura Grandi is an Argentine tango dancer, scholar, and teacher. She studied choreography, composition, and dance theater at the National University Institute of Art (IUNA); trained with renowned tango masters in Buenos Aires; and was selected to study at the "Espacio Nacional Tango Argentino" run by Argentina's Ministry of Culture. More recently has been working in the dance department at Smith College. Her passion and love for dance have allowed Laura to share tango and its culture in cities, dance schools, and festivals across Latin America, North America, and Europe.
