Calling all intermediate-to-advanced running enthusiasts! Embrace the fresh winter air and build fitness in this fun and challenging running program. We will move throughout the entire class with a combination of running and proper dynamic and static stretches, as well as plyometrics and strength circuits to stay strong. Independent running will be encouraged throughout the week to stay fit and on track to meet our goal of running a 4-5K at the end of the program.
Please note: This program is held entirely outdoors and will be canceled only in the case of icy or other unsafe weather conditions. Students must arrive dressed for the cold weather and with proper footwear. Notifications of cancellations will be emailed the evening before.
Gaggi DeStefanis began her running career in high school as a sprinter. As an adult, she has run 15 marathons. She is the assistant coach of the AHS Girls XCountry team, coaches running at both Arlington middle schools, and teaches adults how to run in private classes.
Jessica Pulzetti is a Cross Country Coach and ELL teacher at Ottoson Middle School. When not running with middle schoolers, she enjoys running 5 mile races, half marathons, and trail runs in the Fells with her local running club. Running in the snow is one of her favorite activities.
