“Our gratitude, our enthusiasm, our wonder, is precious,” says the poet Ross Gay. In this generative workshop, we will look at examples of work by contemporary poets such as Ada Limón, W. S. Merwin, and Mary Oliver and use them as inspiration and a springboard for writing our own poems of gratitude and thanksgiving. Whether you are new to writing poetry or have been writing your own poems for a while, bring your notebook and a pen or pencil and leave this workshop with the start of six to eight new poems.
