NewGlass Fusing: Menorah & Mezuzah WorkshopFine Arts & CraftsLearn the basics of glass fusing while designing and creating a menorah for Hanukkah using glass sheets, frits, powders, and stringers. See different ways to position the candle cups and get help cutting the glass according to your design. Then craft a mezuzah with a simple ceramic fiber mold to make a space for the scroll (not included), and find creative ways to add a shin to your design. Please note: Your instructor will fire your creations in his own kiln and they will be available for pickup at ACE within two weeks. Students must wear closed toe shoes, eyeglasses or safety glasses (glasses can be provided to those who do not have them).Fall 2022

Through a series of exercises, we’ll learn to use glass powders, frits, and stringers. Then design and create a low relief “tack fused” tile and one small dish or a fused glass night light. NewMosaic Jewelry Workshop (Family)Family ClassesUsing a wide selection of pre-cut colored glass pieces, beads, iridized and dichroic glass, each pair will create four stunning pieces featuring mini mosaics set inside deep pendants. Once the glass pieces are glued to the metal, we’ll grout our pendants with one of the many colors available and string them on black leather cords. Ages 8+ Fee is for one adult and one child. NewFused Glass Workshop: Sushi Serving SetFine Arts & CraftsLearn the basics of glass fusing while having fun playing with glass shapes, colors, and textures. First learn how to use glass powders, frits, glass beads, and stringers. Then design and create your own sushi set featuring two small plates and one large serving dish, perfect to serve sushi, cheese and crackers, or desserts. Please note: The instructor will fire your pieces in his kiln and return them to ACE within two weeks. Please bring to class: sharp scissors, a ruler, and a small tube of super glue gel.Fall 2022
