(In Person) Interested in architecture, urban planning, or simply want to learn more about the place you live? Rediscover your town from an architectural, historical, social, and personal perspective. Learn all about the elements of urban development, gaining practical skills used in urban research. We’ll focus on Arlington Center, looking at maps and statistics, discovering how photography and video recording can function as a research tool, and studying historical layers of the town to see the architectural styles. We’ll go into the field to look for secret gems and develop our own project ideas for how the town can function better, from street improvements or site specific art installations to community development projects.
