Japanese Bento Box Meals: Beautiful & Delicious
SummerFun! / Virtual Programs -
Combine your love of cooking and crafting in this fun summer series where you will prepare and design three different kinds of bento box meals. These meals are eaten by millions of people in Japan everyday, and consist of small portions of various dishes packed in a container, a bento box. We’ll cook onigiri (rice balls), multiple kinds of sandwiches, sanshoku donburi (a delicious three-colored rice bowl), among other colorful and flavorful items, then carefully arrange them into works of art. We’ll even try our hands at cutting some items into kawaii (cute) character shapes. All dishes can be made vegetarian.
