Celebrate the Summer Solstice

Adult Enrichment / Walking Tours -
Spring 2021

Summer arrives with the summer solstice, which marks the longest day of the year and the day when the midday sun reaches its highest point in the sky. The summer solstice occurs this year on Sunday, June 20, but we’ll celebrate the day before with a nature walk through Arlington’s Great Meadows to enjoy the beauty of the natural world. The walk will focus on plant identification, plus fun and interesting natural history about past and present human uses as well as tales and legends about the plants we see. We’ll also celebrate the season with a little poetry and solstice lore. Please note: Students will be asked to adhere to public health guidelines. Meeting location will be included in your receipt. All walks meet rain or shine. Children ages 10+ are welcome to register if accompanied by a registered adult.
