Frankenstein is much more than a monster story. Since 1818, this masterpiece has been inspiring discussions of feminism, queer identities, genetic engineering, artificial intelligence, and much more. Join us as we read Mary Shelley’s original text, discuss what it means in 2024, and watch a few film interpretations of the story together.
Note: The recommended edition for this class is the Penguin Classics “Frankenstein: The 1818 Text.”
