Digital Photography: An Introduction

Adult Enrichment / Fine Arts & Crafts -
Fall 2020

Still not sure what all the buttons on your digital camera mean? This course is for those who want to move off the “auto” setting and learn what their digital cameras can do. We’ll explore your camera’s features and menus and then cover basic elements of photography, including shutter speed, aperture, metering, focus and ISO speed. We’ll build on these basics, adding lighting and composition, and apply them to common subjects such as portraits and landscapes. Please note: Camera must have a “manual” mode that allows adjustment of both shutter speed and aperture settings. Have your camera and camera manual at hand for the first class.
